Can US's historically black university students win-win with youth and yunus africa jobs futures?

discussion dc version 31 march 2014

here are some possible maps to empowering black youth livelihoods

-if during a more normal workload you want to explore next step of one or more of them I can try and help, or just chat with people direct

map1 taddy blecher out of joburg and his partners (eg branson, google), ... know how to scale missing curriculum in schools of job-creating entrepreneurs and apprenticeships  ... last year yunus returned to 10th skoll worldchampionships after absence of several years - was awarded a lifetime prize and used his speech to celebrate khan academy - this year I assume that branson as a keynote will be talking about the blecher-branson schools of entrepreneurship -though it too takes place april 9-11

map 2 I advise supporters of any segment of youth - help develp great future trading relatsionships with china's youth -that's why david stern is potentially so huge linking african american youth and chinese youth through education foundation of Ming Yao- i will try and make a transcript but realistically that's 2 weeks off

map 3 naila is just back from kenya where she has studied lates mass=mobile ways to empower women- she was the first female director of grameen phone so can connect billionaire owners of mobile, the most radical open technolgists (eg kenya's youth wizards) and issues first ladies around world want to take responsibility for- when not travelling she now lives in our region

map4 tebabu has the most convincing food valoue chnain models pro-poorest african farmers and 17 may summit on these- he wants to develop a youth wing

map5 richard has advised texas adminstrations on futire of youth for over 20 yreas- i believe that connects with come of the origins of thurgood marshall- the first project that he ntroduced me to links in partnbers around the world in a jobs and expereinces market run by and for youth

map6 navneet who works quite closely with naila connects fiture of orphans and future of atlants -both navneet and tebabu have eraned white house awards for entrepreneurship

map7 victoria grew up in atlanta and is on jim kim's team emowered to design world bank and un youth summits

we need one or more big ways forward if we are to bridge atlnta by nov 2015- since people like ted turner are putting most of their giving into makeing atlanta youth and yunus favorite twin capital lab (and that is the 501 foundation that yunus trusts bhuiyan to scale) - that's the divide I dont know how to bridge but expect some combination of above might be able to connect with you

Silicon Valley will continue to be the strongest innovation ecosystem in the world, but on a relative basis it will become less important,” predicts Steve Case, the former boss of America Online. He now runs Revolution, a venture-capital firm based in Washington, DC, which is looking hard for investments outside the Bay Area.
